PIF Series Installation & Compatibility Guidelines
To maintain accurate curvature, consistent image quality, and reliable long-term operation, the module configuration and supporting structure must be confirmed before purchasing or installing PIF Series indoor flexible LED modules.
- Batch Consistency: Modules from different production batches may vary slightly in LED wavelength, brightness, color, surface finish, driver IC configuration, firmware, and calibration data. Modules used within the same screen should be sourced from the same product configuration and production batch whenever possible.
- System Compatibility: A matching module size and pixel pitch do not guarantee direct compatibility. Before replacement, expansion, or mixed installation, confirm the magnet layout, signal interface and pinout, scan rate, driver IC, DC power connector and polarity, receiving-card settings, firmware, and calibration data.
- Structure & Curvature: Flexible modules must be installed on a compatible, accurately formed magnetic support structure. The allowable bending direction, bending angle, and minimum installation diameter vary by model. Do not fold, twist, pull, sharply bend, or repeatedly flex a module beyond its documented limit.
- Indoor Protection Boundary: PIF modules are intended for indoor use unless otherwise stated. GOB or COB encapsulation may improve front-surface protection, but it does not automatically protect the rear PCB, connectors, power interfaces, or complete LED display system.
For replacement projects, custom curved structures, or mixed installations, please provide the original product label, front and rear photos, PCB markings, connector details, receiving-card model, configuration file, screen dimensions, and required curvature when you CONTACT US for compatibility review.

How to Select a PIF Series Module
PIF-S Flexible SMD
A practical choice for general curved indoor displays where cost efficiency, mature SMD performance, and flexible project configuration are priorities.
PIF-G Flexible GOB
Uses SMD LEDs with a GOB protective surface layer for projects requiring improved resistance to accidental contact, dust, static exposure, and routine handling.
PIF-C Flexible COB
Designed for ultra-fine-pitch and high-end visualization projects requiring high pixel density, strong contrast, close-viewing detail, and flexible installation.
Choosing the Module Size
- 240×120mm: Suitable for detailed shaping, smaller curved areas, columns, arches, waves, and structures requiring more localized adjustment.
- 256×128mm: Available for selected P2 and P4 PIF-S products and suitable for compatible curved commercial and cylindrical structures.
- 320×160mm: Supports more efficient coverage for larger curved walls and projects where installation scale and module organization are priorities.
- 300×168.75mm: Used by the PIF-C flexible COB platform for premium fine-pitch and ultra-fine-pitch visualization projects.
Structure & Installation Base
PIF flexible LED modules use flexible PCB structures with model-specific rear housings and magnetic mounting systems. A compatible, accurately formed support surface helps maintain module alignment, consistent curvature, reliable magnetic attachment, and controlled seam appearance.
The supporting structure must be designed for the required curvature, flatness, load capacity, ventilation, grounding, cable routing, and maintenance method. Matching module dimensions alone do not guarantee compatibility with an existing frame or LED display system.
Key Features of Indoor Flexible LED Modules
Controlled Flexibility
Supports concave, convex, cylindrical, wave-shaped, and custom curved structures within the documented limit of the selected module.
Lightweight Construction
Flexible PCB and soft rear structures help reduce installation depth and structural load. Exact thickness and weight vary by product.
Magnetic Mounting
Supports efficient positioning and module removal on compatible magnetic structures. Front or rear service availability depends on the model and frame design.
Multiple Pixel Pitches
P0.9375–P2 models support close-viewing detail, while P2.5–P4 models offer practical coverage and cost efficiency for larger indoor displays.
Multiple Technology Platforms
Standard flexible SMD, GOB-protected flexible SMD, and flexible COB options support different display, protection, and project requirements.
Project Customization
Custom supporting structures can be developed for columns, arches, waves, cylinders, corners, and other architectural display concepts.
Handling & Installation Guidelines
- Wear anti-static gloves and follow appropriate ESD procedures when handling, installing, or servicing LED modules.
- Do not splash water on the module or clean it with wet cloths, hard tools, or unapproved chemicals. Use an anti-static soft brush or the manufacturer-approved cleaning method.
- Keep modules dry and operate them only within the temperature and humidity limits stated on the corresponding product page.
- Do not pull cables, connectors, copper pillars, or PCB sections with excessive force. Disconnect cables by holding the connector body.
- Use an accurately fabricated support structure with suitable curvature, flatness, magnetic attachment, load capacity, and ventilation.
- Do not fold, twist, sharply bend, pull, or repeatedly flex a module beyond its model-specific bending limit.
- Before installation, confirm the signal interface and pinout, scan rate, driver IC, DC power connection and polarity, receiving-card configuration, firmware, and calibration data.
- GOB and COB may improve front-surface protection, but this protection does not automatically apply to the rear PCB, connectors, power interfaces, or complete display system.
Pixel Pitch Comparison: P1.86, P2, P2.5 & P3.076
At the same physical screen size and viewing distance, a smaller pixel pitch provides higher pixel density and finer image detail. The most appropriate model should still be selected according to viewing distance, content type, required native resolution, screen dimensions, curvature, installation structure, control-system requirements, and project budget.
Image Note: Minor color differences in comparison photographs may be caused by production batches, camera settings, calibration, brightness settings, or the viewing environment. The images should be used as a visual reference rather than a color-performance guarantee.
Installation Options for Creative LED Structures
Flexible modules may be installed without conventional rectangular LED cabinets when a compatible engineered magnetic support structure is used. This does not mean that the modules can be installed without structural support. The frame, mounting surface, power distribution, signal routing, ventilation, grounding, and service access must be planned for the complete display.
